We are the Blue Light Foundry, a creative agency and production studio dedicated to empowering creatives across all fields. Connecting talented creatives to a variety of skills, networking, and professional development opportunities; creatives can learn from the pros, hone their skills with projects for real companies, and even leverage our professional network to find a creative career in their chosen field.

Our Mission

The Blue Light Foundry started with one light, one set of strained eyes; staring at a screen all night hoping for their creative dreams to come true, Peyton Schismenos saw students at a loss with student loans and no job. The creative saw the absurdity in getting a fine arts debt and being unable to find a job. So, Peyton planted a seed. The founder made 'jobful:' a text chat between classmates; the network of artists and lessons would become the Blue Light Foundry. This dorm room idea in Savannah Georgia has evolved into a nationally operating brand.

The Blue Light Foundry is a studio by creatives, for creatives. We believe in creating opportunities for growth wherever a creative is in their journey. Through skills-based projects and industry professional mentorship, we work with you to take the best step towards your creative aspirations. To the Blue Light Foundry, no portfolio is too big, and no project is too small.

Meet The Team

Libby Miller

Art Director; Brand Consultant; Advisor

Libby Miller is an intrepid creative professional with six years of experience across art direction, advertising, package design, graphic design, and illustration.

She has directed and designed brand development projects for local companies and international names alike, including works for Blue Atlas and FlaminGO (as seen on Shark Tank).

She is currently an Art Director at Dotted Line Agency, Founder and CEO of Great Design
Talks (currently LibbyMillerArt), and a routine contributor to galleries across the USA,
including HRMNi, an up-and-coming curatorial space located in Richmond, focused on
creating a global network of generational artists.

She has a BFA in Advertising with a concentration in Art Direction from the Savannah College of Art & Design.

Peyton Schismenos

Founder & CEO

Since Peyton was young, they’ve been stuck to devices, systematically dismantling each one and creatively iterating to improve with each solution: This founder uses the same creative problem-solving methodology to drive change throughout multiple universities and NGOs across the United States.

Peyton writes about rhetoric and forms of major influence. Such topics can include digital media, misinformation, and the effects of AI and social media.

They are currently the Facility Maintenance Technician & Coordinator at the VCU Commons, working to improve operations on the ground floor. They also sit on the Student Development and Art Committees, always aiming to make a positive impact in the world of creative and academic professionals.

Their academics include a BA in Digital Media Literacy from Arizona State University, an ongoing BS in Engineering and Master's classes at Virginia Commonwealth University, and animation studies at the Savannah College of Art & Design.

Bruce Moore

Content Creator; Video Editor; AV Advisor

Bruce Moore is an award-winning filmmaker and documentarian with over 30 years of
experience in recording, video/audio engineering, production, and music writing.

Over the course of his career, he has written, produced, and edited five full-length
documentaries, each looking at the metal scene through a different lens. He is the
Creative Director of PureGrainAudio, the Founder and Host of the Brutally Delicious
Podcast, and a Freelance Music Writer for over 21 years.

In addition to his other endeavors, Bruce has a passion for food, having published two
cookbooks and produced a “Heavy Metal cooking show” called Brutally Delicious.

Moore holds a Bachelor’s of English degree from the University of South Florida and a
second B.A. in Religious Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
